SAN FRANCISCO CA -December 16, 2009 - (ASRN.ORG) --In a national online survey conducted by the American Society of Registered Nurses on December 16, 2009, sixty-six percent (66%) of the Registered Nurses surveyed said they are "definitely" expecting more cutbacks in hiring due to the economic conditions.

In a national survey conducted on December 16, 2009, 66% of the Registered Nurses surveyed said they are "definitely" expecting more cutbacks in RN hiring, while 21% said they "are definitely not" expecting any further slashing of nursing jobs. Thirteen percent (13%) said they "didn't know" whether they expected more job cuts.

This internet survey of 684 Registered Nurses was conducted on December 16, 2009 by the American Society of Registered Nurses (ASRN). The margin of sampling error for the survey is + / - 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
