Fifty-Eight Percent (58%) Of RNs Would Recommend Nursing Career To Teens

SAN FRANCISCO, CA September 18, 2009-(ASRN.ORG) -- In a national online survey conducted by the American Society of Registered Nurses, 58% of the Registered Nurses surveyed said they would "absolutely" recommend nursing as a career to teenagers.

In a national survey of 692 Registered Nurses, 20% said they "weren't sure", while 22% said they would "definitely not" recommend it as a prospective career.

This internet survey of 692 Registered Nurses was conducted on September 18, 2009 by the American Society of Registered Nurses (ASRN). The margin of sampling error for the survey is + / - 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
