About ASRN
The American Society of Registered Nurses (ASRN) has over 180,000 RN members. We welcome you to join us today!
The American Society of Registered Nurses (ASRN) was founded in 1974 for the purpose of bringing together professional nurses interested in creating a nursing "society" which is defined as "A group of humans broadly distinguished from other groups by mutual interests, participation in characteristic relationships, shared institutions, and a common culture".
The Society brings together nurses from all fields of inquiry, regions, and specializations both inside and outside academe in order to expand the study and practice of nursing, and offer support, resources, education, and distinction to its members. The Society serves nurses in all 50 states as well as across the globe.
ASRN has served more than 180,000 registered nurses, and its nursing publications reach approximately 1.2 million readers. We invite registered nurses, international professionals, and new graduates to discover ASRN. Our goal is to advance nursing as a science and profession
