Sixteen nursing schools were awarded the 2026 Best Schools for Men in Nursing Award.

The award recognizes nursing schools and colleges for significant efforts in recruiting and retaining men in nursing, providing men a supportive educational environment and providing education about the contributions men have and make to the nursing profession. The awards will be presented at the AAMN’s 51st annual conference in October.

Here is the full list of the best schools for men in nursing in 2026.

- Duke University School of Nursing (Durham, N.C.)

- East Carolina University College of Nursing (Greenville, N.C.)

- The George Washington University School of Nursing (Washington, D.C.)

- Johns Hopkins School of Nursing (Baltimore)

- Nebraska Methodist College of Nursing (Omaha)

- Old Dominion University School of Nursing (Norfolk, Va.)

- Rush University College of Nursing (Chicago)

- Rutgers School of Nursing-Camden (N.J.)

- University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing

- University of Charleston (W.Va.)

- University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing

- University of Virginia School of Nursing (Charlottesville)

- Vanderbilt University School of Nursing (Nashville, Tenn.)
