A critical care nurse fled from a Dayton, Ohio, bar when a gunman opened fire — but stopped to perform CPR on the wounded outside after seeing a “row of bodies,” according to a report.

Kayla Miller was celebrating a friend’s 25th birthday at the Ned Peppers Bar when Connor Betts, 24, fired an assault rifle at a crowd of people outside, including his own sister.

“I look down the sidewalk and see just a row of bodies. People shot — some alive, some not,” Miller recounted tearfully about the carnage in the city’s Oregon District.

“I’m grateful to be able to be alive and talk to my family and friends and tell them I’m OK, but my heart breaks for these families,” she added. “It’s just not fair.”

Nine people were killed and least 27 people were wounded in the attack. Betts was killed by police just moments later.

The massacre came just hours after an attack at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, left 21 people dead and 26 others injured.

Authorities are treating the Texas attack as a “domestic terrorist case” and said they will seek the death penalty for the suspect, Patrick Crusius, 21.

Miller said she quickly realized something was wrong as people began fleeing.

“It was pretty evident because everyone was just crawling toward the back exit, just fighting each other to get out of the bar,” Miller said on “Today.”

Witnesses said the nurse was covered in blood as she tried to save the lives of about five victims — but none of them survived.
