Maine is the best state for nurses, according to a recent analysis.

To determine the best and worst states for nurses, analysts compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across two dimensions: opportunity and competition; and work environment. Analysts evaluated those two dimensions using 21 metrics.

Here are the 10 best states for nurses based on the analysis.
