A Teen's Bucket List Goes Viral

SAUSALITO, CA (ASRN.ORG) -- Alice Pyne is a typical 15-year-old British girl. She likes Cadbury's chocolate, her friends and her dog. She also has terminal Hodgkin's lymphoma. Earlier this week she began a blog. "The cancer is now spreading through my body," she wrote. "It's a pain because there's so much stuff that I still want to do." And she wrote down what they were.

Are the World's Women Disappearing?

SAUSALITO, CA (ASRN.ORG) -- What would our world be like if it contained far fewer women? It may seem like the stuff of post-apocalyptic fiction, but according to journalist Mara Hvistendahl, the author of "Unnatural Selection: Choosing Boys Over Girls, and the Consequences of a World Full of Men," truth is coming closer to fiction. The Poignant Irony of Dr. Kevorkian

SAUSALITO, CA (ASRN.ORG) After championing the rights of the sick and suffering to get help ending their lives -- and providing that "help" to scores of terminally ill patients -- Dr. Jack Kevorkian died of natural causes this month at the age of 83.

"If he had enough strength to do something about it," Fieger told a news conference in Southfield, Michigan, "he would have."

The show took particular interest in the recent kerfuffle that erupted when unofficially-feminist-but-totally-feminist women's pop-culture website Jezebel took on the beloved "Daily Show" for not featuring enough women as on-air talent or in the writers room, and for its hiring of lissome-but-arguably-not-hilarious Oliva Munn as a token  female cast-member.

The Squirmy Ethics of Breast Milk Ice Cream

SAUSALITO, CA (ASRN.ORG) -- When London-based ice cream maker Matt O'Connor launched "Baby Gaga," a flavor made with human breast milk, he was hoping to start a conversation.

"I come from a family of Irish dairy farmers," he said. "We used to milk the cows every morning at 5 a.m., and keep impregnating them every five months so they would keep producing milk.
