ASRN Launches "Save the Grads" Entry Level Hospital Jobs Program

SAUSALITO, CA (ASRN.ORG) -- The American Society of Registered Nurses (ASRN) has launched the "Save the Grads" jobs program in response to the entry-level graduate jobs crisis.  Its purpose is to keep new and recent RN graduates in the field of nursing. The "Save the Grads" job program will identify up to 50,000 "hidden" entry-level RN hospital jobs across the nation within the next 12 months.

Disney Goes After Newborns

SAUSALITO, CA (ASRN.ORG) -- The mouse is coming for your baby. No longer content to dominate the hearts, souls and bedspreads of America's princess-obsessed preschoolers and Selena Gomez-wannabe tweens, the Walt Disney Co. is now, like a neurotic witch queen with ego issues, poised to weave its spell on infants from the moment the cord is cut and the birth goo is wiped off.

She's a Mark Twain prize- and multiple Emmy and Golden Globe winner, a woman who's appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone, and, as her brutally funny, uncharacteristically candid essay in this week's New Yorker reveals, a woman who can unpack the travails of a working mother with more heart, soul and righteous indignation than a  a boatload of Caitlin Flanagans and Lisa Belkins.

A Victoria's Secret Star's Model Breast-Feeding

SAUSALITO, CA (ASRN.ORG) -- You don't have to look too far on the Internet to find images of Miranda Kerr showing some skin. She is, after all, a Victoria's Secret model.  But a fairly modest image of domestic bliss, shot by husband Orlando Bloom, is rapidly becoming the most buzzed-about image of the Australian beauty. In it, she smiles sleepily in bed, her robe partially open -- while infant son Flynn nuzzles contentedly at her breast.
