An Arizona nurse was on the job when she found out a trauma patient brought into the hospital was her husband.

Kristina Pyle was working at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center when she heard word of a motorcycle accident nearby. Immediately, she texted her husband.

"He didn't text back," Pyle said.

According to police, Derek Pyle was stopped at a red light when an SUV rear-ended his motorcycle. The SUV was driven by a 16-year-old driving without a license.

As a nurse who helps crash victims almost every day, Kristina says this crash was unimaginable.

"I still can't believe he isn't going to walk through the door and say this was all a mistake," Kristina said.
